Formerly known as Morae’s Cafe, Persia House of Kebabs treats patrons to grilled kebabs and fresh sandwiches with Middle-Eastern panache. Cooks prepare sandwiches with gyro meat and falafel, and skewer lamb, Iranian-rice-and-kabob-feast-vegetables, and catch-of-the-day fish. In the dining room, guests eat amid colorful wall murals that depict verdant plant life, sandy hills, and lords and ladies who jealously ogle the food. In the adjoining marketplace, visitors can prepare to make their own Middle-Eastern dishes by taking home pita breads and feta cheese, or peruse imported spices, and artwork.

Some of what our customers say about us:
“AWESOME !! The kabab are grilled perfectly on charcoal I think and it's nice to smell and Juicy. Go for Beef Kabab as they are far better. Service is warm and quick and the best part is the food is Halal.”
“Wonderful. Moist and tasty tenderloin and ground beef kebabs. Lamb shank just fell off the bone. Tabbouleh fresh and crispy. Authentic.”
“Morae’s has been a favorite of ours for years. This is mom and pop dining at its best. The place isn’t fancy. The food isn’t fancy. The food is fresh and delicious. The portions are large. The owner cooks it, and he always comes out of the kitchen to make sure everything was good. Both the chicken kabob and beef kabob are excellent. They’re perfectly seasoned and served with a grilled tomato and some of the best rice I’ve ever had. If you haven’t tried it, you’ve missed something good. If you happen to be there at the right time on a Saturday evening, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the belly dancer.”
“Affordable, great tasting juicy Kababs and rice with vegi’s!”
“Good prices, Good food”
“If you like middle eastern cuisine, then you will love Morae’s Cafe. I recommend the combination platter as an appetizer or entree. Their chicken kabobs are very tasty and their pita bread is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great prices too. I will definitely be coming back.”
“mmm mmm…God I love this place! Really good Persian food and very reasonably priced. I recommend the Jujeh Kabob (marinated chicken kabob). If you order anything that comes with rice, ask to switch out for either rice with zereshk (dried barberries) and saffron or the green rice, which is rice with saffron, lima beans, and dill. Both are delicious Persian treats that you won’t find anywhere else in the Tampa Bay area. The hummus and grape leaves are very good and the baba is outstanding. Don’t miss this place…I live in St. Pete and it’s worth the drive! They also have a small market which is also very well-priced; going home with some hard to find Persian groceries is always a good bonus!”
“I LOVE this place, basically because Persian cuisine is my FAVORITE in the world and this seems to be the only Persian joint in the Tampa Bay area. The atmosphere is lovely as well, including the brightly colored paintings and Middle Eastern music. All of the dishes I’ve had are delicious, including but not limited to the Kabob Kubideh (ground beef skewers), Gormeh Shabzi (lemony spinach stew) and Bahamian (Eggplant). I’m a sucker for this food/culture and they consistently deliver. Service is ok–I have never had a bad experience here. To be honest I really couldn’t care less either (unless he/she spills hot Turkish coffee on me!), as the star of the show is clearly the amazing food.“
